I'm sitting here watching "Road to Perdition" with Tom Hanks, it's a great movie that I always enjoy. It has some great lessons in it about relationships and redemption. There is a particular scene after Tom Hanks' character gets shot where he is recovering in bed, he opens his eyes to see his son holding his gun and essentially mimicking him in the mirror. That scene brought to mind questions that I think present interesting conversations.
1. How has your father been an influence in your life, or how do you think the absence of a father has influenced your life?
2. As you get older are you seeing yourself turning more and more like your father?
3. Do struggles translate down from father to son?
Just some thoughts.
